As well as being an integral component of wider solutions provided by Springmark, cyber security in its own right is becoming a higher priority in existing IT environments, this is very much the case when cloud based solutions have been implemented with “off the shelf” security applied.
This is deliberately defaulted in a way to ensure the environment can be created quickly and enable clients using this environment to do so swiftly.
It is very much the case that SMEs are being asked to provide very specific details around cyber security, especially when engaging with larger multi nationals.
Without specific knowledge, these requirements can appear overwhelming, to the extent that even day-to-day IT support teams require some assistance to bring systems in-line with customers’ requirements and enables such teams to gain the knowledge required to support the environment day-to-day.
It can be tempting to sign off requirements as met, in order to commence working with new customers, this is something Springmark discourages, as any data loss as a result of requirements not being met that have been signed off, has potential ramifications that need to be understood.
If such requirements are not in place at the commencement of engaging with a new customer, a plan drawn up with the customer’s cyber security team, and planned deployment dates of any requirements that are not yet in place, will in most cases be accepted by the customer.
